Rockfall netting is a steel woven wire mesh netting which is used to prevent rocks and debris from falling onto roads,railways and other structuers. The mesh is made of heavil zinc coated or PVC+ Heavily Zinc coated double twisted steel woven wire in accordance with EN10223-3. The steel wire used in the manufacture of the mesh is heavity galvanized soft temper steel. Wire All wires used in rockfall meshes an lacing wire have the tensile strength of 350-500N/mm2, according to EN10223-3,BS1052/80 and ASTM A641-97.(The figures above are of the wire prior to manufacturing mesh). The tolerances on diameter of galvanized wire in Table III and in accordance with EN10218 (Class T1). The elongation at break is min.10% and test to be carried out on a sample of minium 25cm long,before manufacturing the mesh.(In acc.with EN10223-3) Galvanisation rate shown at Table II belw meet the requirements of EN10244-2 .(Table I and Class A)
